Our  Philosophy - Have Fun!!!

Look, Summer is not here in South Dakota 12 months a year. So when it is here, why not engage in a sport that really does provide a great workout and have fun staying in shape at the same time. The average play time for a paintball day is around 4-5 hours of play. We like playing a game, then taking a short break to refill our hoppers or tanks, maybe get a drink and snack then get into the next game. The first time you play, you will be amazed at how fast the day goes by and how much exercise you have had for the day. Then you want to play again real soon.

This is an extreme sport, be prepared is the rule.

You just get a bunch of your friends together and go out and have a good time doing what you love most. There are no prizes at the end of the day, except maybe a welt or two, but the only reward you have for a rec team is to enjoy the game, the thrill of the hunt and the camaraderie.

For a rec team, just about anything goes. I dont mean to wipe off hits and cheat, but you can use hand held radios to communicate with your teammates.  Rec play is a pure form of paintball. There is no reason to cheat because there is nothing on the line.

The key to having fun in rec and scenario play is to just use your imagination and your common sense.

What to bring:

Expect to spend $10-$50 dollars for 4-5 hours of play, depending on your style.  Visa/MC accepted.

Are you Tired of ?
Waiting for paintball to come to your area to try it out something different?
Hearing "Sorry no more rentals available all 5 are rented"
Referees that don't put the safety of the players first  or just no Refs
Signs that say "Field paint Only"  then being forced to use their crappy paint?
Those extra fees for bringing your own paint to play paintball?
Deceiving advertised paint prices to lure you there
and finding out that the good stuff is a higher price?
High Field fees or high paintball prices?
Experienced players not helping new players?
High CO2 prices or running out of CO2 at the field?
Not getting 4500psi fills for your Primo HPA tank?

Expensive equipment rentals that don't work and having to pay more for safety equipment that should be included in a rental?

The teasing about your equipment not being BRAND XXX ??
Not knowing what equipment or accessories to buy and why?
Large Discount stores knowingly selling you old paint?
Places that can't repair your equipment you just bought from them or not getting warranty work paid for?
BAD service or Rude Business owners?

We were too, that's why we started James River Valley Paintball.

If your not getting all the best of the above, every game, you should be.
